It will also help with mental strength, helping the patient to focus on positive thoughts. Of course, this can take some time and one should remember that you don't get healed overnight. Meditation takes time to get into.

Making sure that you get enough sleep and that you eat all the right foods would be a good start. You should definitely stay off substances, such as caffeine as well as nicotine and alcohol. This is going to make the situation worse because you will become more anxious and it will also mean that you will battle to sleep.
